NU.ME Curl Jam

WHOA.
I forgot all about writing my review for this stuff and I got it a while ago now.
No time like the present!

I got the Nu.Me Curl Jam hair set because I wanted a curling iron and I needed a new straightener, and thanks to a youtuber that I followed, I was able to get an amazing deal on a package including both! I can't remember the exact price, but I know that it was less than $140 Canadian (and that's including the rough exchange from US)

NOTE: The Curl Jam set goes for $199 US. I had a promo code at the time of my purchase - there might still be some lurking around - try and find one.
I got the SET, not the BUNDLE, which has a few extras and sells for more - but they are the same products. They have a whole selection on their site.

The best part, and a pleasant surprise for me as I wasn't expecting it to be so nice, was that it all comes in a perfect little travel case! Keep all your hair goodies nice and safe for travel!

The travel case is hard cased, but covered in a thin layer of fabric, which makes it looks nice, but does tend to collect and trap in dust because of the material that it is made of.
It unzips about 70% of the way around so it can lay open completely flat to neatly reveal everything inside, which is tucked in nicely with snug, elastic straps for the three wands and the base, and zelcro straps for the straightener and both of the devices' sturdy cords.

Also inside of the travel case came a heat resistant glove - trust me, you need this!

Hair Swag
Along with everything I purchased, Nu.Me gave a free paddle brush. And while I was excited at first for a new paddle brush, the plastics that it is made of, while surprisingly sturdy (and I would assume more heat resistant than the average plastic) brought on static from hell for my thin hair. So it sits around unused....

The wands
Of the three different sizes of wands that I got, I use the medium one the most, and the large one is awesome for big, beachy curls, but I haven't found a good look for the smallest wand. Tight curls just aren't a look that suit me super well.

Using them is super easy and they heat up super fast, so you can curl your hair in a hurry (trust me, I managed to curl my whole head in less than 10 minutes for a look I wore to a wedding). The only struggle is sometimes I can't tell if I clicked the wand in right, in which case it won't heat up and you end up in the above scenario.

And always remember to USE THE GLOVE. The glove is your friend if you are a clumsy doofus like myself. It also lets you press your hair to the very tip against the wand so you get a total curl all the way through the strand. Be safe.
The glove is your friend

I will use it until it dies.
Then prompty replace it with one just like it - or BETTER

I have been using the straightener on a near daily basis - at least after most hair-wash days. I find straightening my hair to be faster, and less hazardous than a curling iron/wand.

It has an easily adjustable temperature setting up to 450 degrees - where I always keep mine at.

And if you ever do something dumb (like me) and leave it right up against a plastic container, which them melts all over the... heaty bits... it is the easiest to clean straightener that I have ever owned!

I have been using these products for nearly two year and I have no complaints.
The best part for me -besides the products all working, and well - is that they are such a great deal!

*cough They also have a curling wand that look like anal beads. I find this hilarious. cough*

Oh, yeah.
Here's pictures of my hair, I guess.

Come for the product review, stay for the boobies

Anyway!
Thanks for reading!
