Two days ago I had an appointment at Medspa at Lifepath Wellness for a facial. I got the 'Red Carpet facial', listed on their menu as the ZO Ossential Stimulator Peel.
Lifepath Wellness is in Chestermere, Alberta.
It was a 40 minute drive from SW Calgary for me - comparable to getting to a business downtown. And this was during rush hour.
Zero complaints about the commute.
You can't miss it. It is a very large business and there is very clear signage. I get lost often - this did not happen finding the Medspa!
The aesthetic of the building is gorgeous - I was in a high-end spa and it felt like it!
Trina took me back to a consultation room where we went over my take-in form and the specifics of my skin. This is where I was truly blown away - she. knows. her. stuff! I learned some really awesome things about skincare products and how a medical grade mask (PACKED with the good stuff) is actually less expensive than a popular mask from Sephora, like Glamglow (NOT so packed with the good stuff).
Also important to note: ZERO pressure to buy any of these products.
The facial was AMAZING.
60 minutes of the one-on-one attention that my skin really needed.
There was steam, preps, exfoliation, a peel that you can definitely feel working. Any necessary extractions were also provided. And lots of hot towels!!
My skin was GLOWING afterwards, and still is, two days later. This facial has no 'down time'.
At $129, this facial is highly competitive with other businesses in Calgary, which often offer even fewer steps to the facial, and often done by less educated estheticians.
You get what you pay for really rings true with this business.
And there are four other facial options ranging from $59 -129.
I run on a tight budget, but I will definitely be back, no question.
And soon.
LifePath has EVERYTHING

Kicked February's Ass - water challenge
That's right!
I won the February water challenge against fifteen other co-workers. And I won by a landslide (over 100 cups, I believe).
For being someone who would only ever drink a cup of water to take medications then only drink a pop or two at the end of the day...
I made it the whole month only drinking a chocolate milk with this coffee appetite suppressant stuff mixed in for the mornings and ONE SIP of coke half way through the month. Otherwise, nothing but water.
I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!

Dragon Ball, Please!
Chris (boyfriend) has always loved Dragon Ball Z.
Myself, on the other hand... I grew up hating it, and was always so adamant that I would never enjoy it, even though I could never really put my finger on what it was that I didn't like about the show.
Recently, I decided that I was being ridiculous and I needed to try and be a part of something that Chris loves so much, at least so he could re-watch his favourite show again. Especially when it's been 7.5 years that we've been together and he's never watched it.
"You love it and I want to be a part of that," I said. "I want you to show me Dragon Ball Z."
So he did/has been.
He decided Kai would be best, as it cuts out a lot of the unnecessarily long scenes (which may have been one of the turn-offs for me when I was so little), and cleaned up colouring/animation, and voice acting.
We are seventy-something episodes in....
I FUCKING LOVE DRAGON BALL Z!!!
Tiny me was an idiot.
Okay, yes, Princess Mononoke is still a masterpiece and my long-standing favourite... But that is about all I can say for me having good taste back in the day.
Kai needs to come out faster because we are almost completely caught up (or maybe we did catch up on all of the released episodes). It needs to be all finished now!
Hell, I want to start all over and watch the original Dragon Ball, then the original Dragon Ball Z. Then Dragon Ball Super!
From the clips we have watched on YouTube, I am already in love with Beerus.
I love it so much!
LET'S DO THIS!

Peachface Lovebird Makeup Look - picture post
I got playing around yesterday, just for fun, and decided to try a makeup look that matched the beautiful colours of my lovebird, Yoshi.
I tried to use only one palette: Kat Von D Pastel Goth, but I did have to very lightly tap in to her Serpentina palette for the red, Bloodmilk, because the peach in the PG was too light.
All matte look.

Well, there it is.
Let me know what you think, or what I should try next.
Thanks for checking it out!

NU.ME Curl Jam
WHOA.
I forgot all about writing my review for this stuff and I got it a while ago now.
No time like the present!
I got the Nu.Me Curl Jam hair set because I wanted a curling iron and I needed a new straightener, and thanks to a youtuber that I followed, I was able to get an amazing deal on a package including both! I can't remember the exact price, but I know that it was less than $140 Canadian (and that's including the rough exchange from US)
NOTE: The Curl Jam set goes for $199 US. I had a promo code at the time of my purchase - there might still be some lurking around - try and find one.
I got the SET, not the BUNDLE, which has a few extras and sells for more - but they are the same products. They have a whole selection on their site.
The best part, and a pleasant surprise for me as I wasn't expecting it to be so nice, was that it all comes in a perfect little travel case! Keep all your hair goodies nice and safe for travel!
The travel case is hard cased, but covered in a thin layer of fabric, which makes it looks nice, but does tend to collect and trap in dust because of the material that it is made of.
It unzips about 70% of the way around so it can lay open completely flat to neatly reveal everything inside, which is tucked in nicely with snug, elastic straps for the three wands and the base, and zelcro straps for the straightener and both of the devices' sturdy cords.
Also inside of the travel case came a heat resistant glove - trust me, you need this!
Along with everything I purchased, Nu.Me gave a free paddle brush. And while I was excited at first for a new paddle brush, the plastics that it is made of, while surprisingly sturdy (and I would assume more heat resistant than the average plastic) brought on static from hell for my thin hair. So it sits around unused....
Of the three different sizes of wands that I got, I use the medium one the most, and the large one is awesome for big, beachy curls, but I haven't found a good look for the smallest wand. Tight curls just aren't a look that suit me super well.
Using them is super easy and they heat up super fast, so you can curl your hair in a hurry (trust me, I managed to curl my whole head in less than 10 minutes for a look I wore to a wedding). The only struggle is sometimes I can't tell if I clicked the wand in right, in which case it won't heat up and you end up in the above scenario.
And always remember to USE THE GLOVE. The glove is your friend if you are a clumsy doofus like myself. It also lets you press your hair to the very tip against the wand so you get a total curl all the way through the strand. Be safe.
I have been using the straightener on a near daily basis - at least after most hair-wash days. I find straightening my hair to be faster, and less hazardous than a curling iron/wand.
It has an easily adjustable temperature setting up to 450 degrees - where I always keep mine at.
And if you ever do something dumb (like me) and leave it right up against a plastic container, which them melts all over the... heaty bits... it is the easiest to clean straightener that I have ever owned!
I have been using these products for nearly two year and I have no complaints.
The best part for me -besides the products all working, and well - is that they are such a great deal!
*cough They also have a curling wand that look like anal beads. I find this hilarious. cough*
Oh, yeah.
Here's pictures of my hair, I guess.
Come for the product review, stay for the boobies
Anyway!
Thanks for reading!

Water Challenge and Step Challenge
I felt like being a real go-getter this year, so I made a crazy decision to make my coworkers compete with me so I had motivation to meet some of my health goals.
Water and step seemed easiest (and the least embarrassing - compared to weight loss or inches lost)
We ALL are terrible at drinking enough water while we are working - or in my case, EVER.And stepping is easy to track if you have a phone app or a Fitbit, which I got for Christmas.
I made the Step Challenge free to enter, but for super motivation, the Water Challenge was $5 to enter and the winner at the end of the month gets the pool.
The pool is $75!!!
For the first time in my life I am actually super motivated to drink water, and I am so proud of myself.
And I think I am actually in the lead for the water challenge. Definitely not the step challenge... but, I'm going to start trying harder.
I encourage anyone struggling with meeting their goals like I do to try and challenge their friends or cowokers, even your family! Give some kind of incentive - try for a healthy one - and see if it makes a difference for you. I'm honestly surprised that it worked for me.

Hot Yogi?
Last night I tried yoga for the first time ever - HOT yoga.
And I have to say... I loved it!
I have made it my goal to make 2017 the year that I finally start being more healthy, and just overall more motivated.
So, when my best friend suggested that we do a weekly hot yoga class I was determined to at least try it out.
As someone who hates being hot and being in groups of people, I really had my doubts that hot yoga was something that I was going to be able to handle. Honestly, I'm not sure that I would have done very well if I hadn't had my friend right next to me the whole time - she was my rock.
I was allowed to have my first class for free, so a big shout out to Breathe for such a lovely gesture to their future customers. I didn't even expect this, so saving that $20 drop-in fee was amazing!
The change rooms are super clean and I felt safe leaving my belongings out in the open, and they have showers - I didn't use them this time, but I may in the future.
The room is was even warmer that I expected it to be and it doesn't take too long to get a full body glow going on - and I'm not talking highlight.
I have never sweat so much in my life. And I have hyperhidrosis!!
The instructor had introduced herself to me and she knew that it was my first time ever doing yoga, so she kept an eye on me throughout the class. Something I really appreciate because I was nervous about doing something incorrectly or pushing too hard and injuring myself, but she never once came to correct me, so I guess I've nailed "the flow" pretty damn well for a beginner.
Once the first difficult came up my (very weak) muscles got incredibly stressed, to the point where I started having an anxiety attack and seriously contemplated going in to resting position or even leaving to room... but, I am VERY proud to say, my flow kicked my anxiety in the ass!
I got through the entire 70 minutes without stopping and only avoiding advancing certain moves a couple of times, knowing my body could not handle them... yet!
The only thing negative about the entire experience was the Hot Yoga Headache!
I didn't know this was even a thing until about two hours after getting home when I experienced what I could only describe as feeling like my brain was trying to burst out of the back of my skull.
I fell asleep quickly after going to bed (unusual for me) and when I woke up the headache was completely gone and my back felt better than it has in probably a year! The only thing I have felt all day -besides great- is a little muscle tension.
I loved it.
Already bought five classes and thinking about a yearly pass, if I can afford it.
I'm surprised... but really happy I found something that works for me.
I can't wait for next week!
